This plane wreck is probably one of the most famous places to discover in Iceland, especially for photographers. The abandoned DC-3 lies in the middle of a black sand beach that you reach after a 45 min walk, often against strong winds. It easy to see why the wreck is so weathered by time and elements, creating such a mysterious atmosphere.
